Federal and State Regulations and Legislation Updates
Dustin Robinson, Esq., CPA, Founding Partner, Mr. Cannabis Law
The USDA published a final rule surrounding hemp production regulations that went into effect on March 22, 2021. Among other things, the program provides requirements for maintaining records about the land where hemp is produced, testing the levels of total delta-9 THC, disposing of non-compliant plants, licensing hemp producers, and ensuring compliance under the new program. Meanwhile, Florida has been refining its rules surrounding hemp to better fit this evolving space. This presentation will provide updates on the federal and state changes as well as discuss the implications of those changes.
