In this session, Ed Lorenz, a partner and regional vice-president for WIELAND, will discuss some of the up-front challenges that owner’s face when planning a new facility. Topics will include the pre-construction phase (architectural selections, permitting and due diligence) and how to manage and control costs once construction begins. WIELAND is a national general contractor with multiple hemp/cannabis facilities in design or under construction.
Ed Lorenz is a Vice-President and Regional Director for WIELAND, an ENR-Top 400 construction firm with offices nationwide. In his role, Ed oversees a staff of project managers, superintendents and contract administrators who help WIELAND annually complete nearly $300M in construction projects nationwide. Ed came to WIELAND in 2014 with over 20 years of industry experience, and became a Partner in 2018. His areas of expertise include WIELAND’s work in both the industrial and cannabis sectors, as well as having K-12, multi-family and office experience.
